The Isle of Purbeck Golf Club in partnership with the Swanage Jazz Club, Valentine’s Weekend sees Dylan Ross return to his home town and is joined by a rising star of London’s West-End, Sammy Graham. Fronting a world-class jazz duo, they will perform a romantic concert dedicated love and life. Enjoy excellent interpretations of the Great American Songbook and some original tunes. Expect to hear some classic love songs in a classy and intimate setting looking over the idyllic Isle of Purbeck.

Critically acclaimed emerging singer Dylan Ross has been gaining momentum beyond his roots in Dorset. After a sell out London debut show at the Hampstead Jazz Club in November 2024, he is charmed to be returning to his home town at the Swanage Jazz Club once again. Dylan’s performance is an exemplar of the great leading men from the jazz age. If you enjoy the sounds of Sinatra, Bennet and even Harry Connick Jr., then you cant help but love Dylan Ross.

Backing the duo is a stellar line up of local jazz legends. These seasoned professionals all boost prolific careers in the UK jazz scene and have collaborated with some of the UK's great artists. Paul Stiles on Reeds (Joe Loss Orchestra, Manhattan Groove) is a prolific player and lecturer of jazz music. His virtuous phrases and runs are alike to the sounds of the horn blowing titans of the swing era. Phil Doyle on Keys (Pee Wee Elis, Claire Martin, Art Theman) plays with a robust sensibility alike to the sounds of Keith Garret and Oscar Peterson. Joe Limburn on Bass (Jo Harrop, Dave Newton, Sara Dowling) plays with sympathy and a style synonymous with the classic jazz anthology. Andy Chapman on Drums (Liane Carroll, Zara Macfarlane, Alexander Stewart) is an unmatched talent on the local scene. He plays with a delicate and effortless style which never fails to impress.
