The Swanage Jazz Club are pleased to present an exciting performance of swinging Jazz hits you'll know and love from the Swing Era, from foot stomping Trad’ Jazz to Cool Blues. This accomplished band of multi-instrumental / vocalists recreates the memorable sounds of the classic American Songbook, Ella Fitzgerald, Sammy Davies Jnr’, Sinatra, plus up-to-date Jazz & Jive arrangements. This promises to be a swinging night not to miss at the Isle of Purbeck Golf Club.

Featuring Chris & Simone Smith. Chris has had a varied career which spans writing for Jazz FM, BBC Radio Big Band, NYJO and playing has taken him from Jazz festivals to Top of the Pops and as a guest on the BBC Radio 2 Claire Teal show. Saxophonist and vocalist, Simone, has recorded with Paul Weller, Jazz solos on Paul Merton TV show, TV Film Lace 2 and featured jazz Saxophonist in the later days of the Ivy Benson show band.

This amazing band creates a polished performance delivering a big band sound from only 5 musicians: Chris Smith on Piano, Flugel / Trumpet and Simone Smith on Saxophone / Flute / Clarinet & Vocals, Brent Vaughan on Trombone - Ex BBC Northern Dance Orchestra. Together with Harry Thow on Drums and Steve Reynolds on bass completes the Five Star line up to create an outstanding show that audiences are sure to never forget.
